Grand Isle County, Vermont is a county in Lake Champlain containing islands and is totally surrounded by water. Its 5 towns (Alburg, Grand Isle, Isle Lamontte, North Hero and South Hero) can only be reached by bridge or water, except for the town of Alburg which can be reached by car from Canada. Its Shire Town, or county seat, is North Hero, and Route 2 traverses the county north and south.

You are unlikely to get a ticket for running a red light, 23 V.S.A. § 1022 , in Orleans County, as the entire county only has seven stoplights, five of which are in the county’s capital city of Newport. Six of the seven are on route 5. Much more likely, however, that you will end up with a speeding ticket, 23 V.S.A. § 1003 & 1007,  in Orleans County, as the county has numerous routes and interstate I-91:
