Esquire Posted by Julie Reduced my speeding ticket from three points to zero. I didn’t have to appear in court. Easy to work with, professional, communicated clearly, outlined potential results and I am very pleased with the results!
Mr. Palumbo is great lawyer and extra nice person. Posted by Alaeddin Mr. Palumbo has done great and fantastic job. He was able to reduce the ticket from 8 to 3 points, reduce the fine by almost half, and avoided paying an extra 450 USD for accumulating more than 6 points within 18 months.
Gets the job done Posted by Romeo Was facing a very hefty speeding violation. This team was able to get it to a zero point violation. Not all situations and outcomes are perfect, but this team really does their best to keep points off your license!

Palumbo & Associates, PC helped me resolve my first traffic ticket (a 6 points ticket - 76mph in 55mph zone). I am pleased with their service. I was worried about the ticket because I have no experience on it and I don't live in New York. I had searched some infomation about the ticket and finally decided to hire them because of the great rating and review online. As expected, their service is awesome and convenient. I can keep updates of my case by phone call or email, and I don't need to be worried about taking off work for court, which saves me a lots of time. The result is great, a 0 point non-moving violation, I won't have frustrating record and it won't affect my insurance. I do highly recommed Palumbo & Associates for anyone who has trouble in traffic tickets. |

We resolved your ticket in Yonkers City Court today with a plea from the charge of Speeding 82/55 MPH Zone (6 points) to the reduced charge of a 0-point, non-moving Rules of the Road Violation.
The fine of $88.00 will be deducted from the bail which you posted in this case. The Court will then send you a check with the balance.
The Judge also ordered that you complete a defensive driving class. The class is available online. An online provider can be found at: https://www.americansafetycouncil.com/online-courses/?lgr=f03107d0-a438-e111-9481-00c09f3f0f12. Forward proof that you have completed the class to our office no later than July 1, 2018 and we will file it with the Court. Failure to complete the class will result in your plea being vacated and will result in a suspension of your driver’s license. We were going to advise that you take this class anyway since completion of the class will result in up to 4 points being removed from your total for DMV lookback purposes. In addition, send the certificate of completion to your insurance company and they will be mandated to give you a 10% discount on your premiums. The court will not return your bail until they receive the proof that you’ve completed the course.
If you have any questions about what you need to do call us. Thanks again for your business.

Ron,
Thanks very much for representing me and likewise a thank you to Mr. Palumbo and the other staff who assisted. While I never should have been given any ticket at all I am a realist and pleased with the outcome as it gets me back into a safe range with points and there is the option of eliminating all points completely, which I will probably do. Lesson learned, never drive in an unusual way even at 3 am, the one car behind you might be a cop looking for an excuse...

Thank you SO much! I don't know how you did this, but I am eternally grateful! You can rest assured that I will make every effort to refer as many people to you as I possibly can. My experience with your firm has been nothing but positive. From my conversations with Mr. Polumbo in the beginning, through the adjournments and up to today, you have been absolutely professional, helpful and accessible.
I will pay the "improper turn" fine at once. I also plan on doing the online course. Since the improper turn appears to only assess 2 points and the class will credit up to four I assume I should have a zero point license. I'll deal with my insurance company in good time.
If I can ever do anything for your firm, please do not hesitate to ask.
Kind regards,
John D

Subject: Resolution of your Manhattan tickets
Dear John
We took your improper turn ticket, to trial in the Manhattan DMV court on 1/17/2017. Despite our best efforts you were found guilty as charged. The fine amount of $78 can be paid online here: https://transact.dmv.ny.gov/pleadnpay/ or at any DMV office on or before 2 weeks from the conviction date. Please note that a convenience fee may be applied to online payments.
Great news! After hard work we got your no insurance ticket out of Manhattan DMV dismissed! In other words, you won.
If the points will cause a DMV point accrual of 6 or more within the last 18 months, the DMV will be sending you an additional fine, called an “assessment”. The notice will go to your address of record with the DMV. Failure to pay the additional fine will result in a NYS driving license / privilege suspension. You can update your address with the DMV here: http://dmv.ny.gov/address-change/change-address-my-license-registrations and pay the assessment online here: https://transact.dmv.ny.gov/DriverRespAssessment/
If you wish to appeal the decision, you have 30 days to file a notice of appeal. Information about the appellate process and how to file a notice of appeal along with the appellate form for filing an appeal can be found on the NYS DMV web site here: http://dmv.ny.gov/tickets/appeal-tvb-ticket-conviction.
You can take a class online to have up to 4 points that have accrued in the past 18 month immediately credited to your driving record against potential mandatory suspensions for excessive point accruals. Upon completion your insurance company will also be required to reduce your premiums by 10%. Please wait 30 days before taking the class in order to allow your ticket to process. This will ensure that the course to count towards this ticket. An online provider can be found at: https://www.americansafetycouncil.com/online-courses/?lgr=f03107d0-a438-e111-9481-00c09f3f0f12

Subject: Your case in Hancock Village Court
Susan:
We have resolved your son’s case in the Hancock Village Court. We pled guilty to the reduced speed of 59/55 (3 points) instead of the 8 point speed (92/55) he was charged with. In addition, the court granted an adjournment in contemplation of dismissal (ACD) on the marijuana charge which means after your son stays of out trouble and doesn’t get arrested for a period of one year, the marijuana charge will be totally dismissed and sealed. Lastly, the license violation, which could have resulted in a license suspension, was instead reduced to a no points ticket with no suspension.
The fine of $336.00 must be RECEIVED by the Court ON OR BEFORE February 15, 2017. You can pay by mail with a bank check or postal money order – NO PERSONAL CHECKS. Make any draft payable to the “Hancock Village Court” and mail to 85 East Front Street, Hancock, NY 13783. Write on the draft “Case No __________________” and include the attached fine notice so that the court can easily match payment to your case. If you want a receipt include a self addressed stamped envelope.
Keep in mind he may take a defensive driving class and remove up to 4 points from your license. You can take the class online at: https://www.americansafetycouncil.com/online-courses/?lgr=f03107d0-a438-e111-9481-00c09f3f0f12.
